I have a terrible time getting up in the morning... any ideas on how waking up can be easier?

I have one idea which you can either confirm or rule out: Namely, your body has a biological "circadian rhythm", which means you would have the highest amount of cortisol in the early morning (i.e. around 8 am), still high around 11 am, lower in the afternoon, and the very lowest at bedtime, around 11 pm, which helps you fall asleep. But sometimes, that circadian rhythm gets messed up due to what's called adrenal fatigue. That results in your cortisol being far too low in the morning for you to wake up well or refreshed. To learn about it, here's a page: a href="http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info" rel="nofollow"http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adr…/a Though it refers to thyroid patients on that site, the page can still be helpful for you. If you look at Discovery Step One, there are questions to ask that can confirm adrenal fatigue. If you think you have it, I highly recommend the book recommended on that website. The book has two excellent chapters on adrenal fatigue and treatment. If you don't have adrenal fatigue, hopefully you will get good ideas from others.
