Accounting Career Question?

I have an undergrad in Finance and have been working in a corp acct enviroment for the past two years. I am now taking cles through LSU Distance Learning in order to be eligible to sit for the CPA. My question is; Will I be able to get into public acct after I am a CPA candidate even though I don't have an accounting degree? Thanks for your replies
