Why do cops get away with almost everything?

If you are a cop, I would like you to answer this. You might not think you guys do, but I have witnessed cops putting on their lights to run redlights and then turning them off so they can get acrossed the street faster. I have seen them SPEED without going to a call. We as citizens who do not work the police force, would sometimes like to bust police with tickets for not obeying the law as well. Yeh, congress enforces laws, but the cops don't necessarily obey them either. The people who get caught are the ones that don't work that type of field and are generally the innocent as well. I'm not saying that the citizens are all perfect and don't need fines. I believe that we ALL should obey the laws even if we are cops, firemen, etc.
