My therapist makes no sense. What do I do?
If your therapist didn't confuse you and challenge you and make you think about things like you are now, he wouldn't be a good therapist. Therapy isn't supposed to be easy: it SHOULD be frustrating and hard - that's how we grow! If the answers to what were going on were simple to come by, you would have figured it out already. Don't bail because the answer isn't immediate to you... He sounds like he's on to something profound that you don't see yet, but he's trying to lead you there. If he just told yo straight up, it wouldn't be the same as making you figure it out. Go with the premise that you're engaging in self-destructive behavior. If not from fear of going back to skinny, then what? Wrestle with it, and you'll come out deeper and more insightful about yourself.
