My mother wants to throw me a baby shower....but she want's me to pay for half of it!!!?

she is going to buy the food, but she wants me to pay for the booze and the DJ!!! what nerve of her! this was her idea and i think she should pay for it all! get this...she is hinting i should pay for a male stripper!!!! what gall! i think her and my sisters should get off their lazy s, put in a few more hours at the diner and pay for everything! has anyone out here ever had to pay for her baby shower? thanks !!

I would use untreated wood, in case they gnaw on it. Other than that, you can probably do whatever you want. Chicken wire is helpful.

ASVAB question?

I want to become an AST in the Coast Guard, but I don't really know alot about Mechanical, or Auto and Shop. I really want to join but that is one of the man requirments for joining as an AST. Does anyone know of any books that will teach me about auto and shop and mechanical comprehension so that I can get a guarenteed job as an AST? Thanks.

Can anyone advise on a woodstove flue project?

The stove will be in the basement with the stack going strait up through the house.I want to use single and triple wall pipe.In each level of the house,I want to use triple where it comes in contact with floors,ceilings etc. but also go back to single wall pipe so I can recover as much heat as possible from the chimney.Of course there will be proper guards/heat boxes around the single wall sections.Can anyone give any tips or helpful advise on this technique?

Help!!Turtle fighting or not?

Back when I didn't know better, I kept several different species of aquatic turtles in a tank that wan't big enough. I witnessed this a few times. They would bite legs, tails, or necks. I don't know if it was territorial or out of hunger, but after given much more room I never saw any more problems.

So easy. Go out and get the biggest barrel curling iron you can buy. Curl your hair in large sections very loosely. Take a few bobby pins and twist the front and pin it back. You can use a nice, large, fancy clip to clip the back up. I would use something with a flower, or diamond studs to put it back with.
